School Presentations
School presentations invole FYI satff presenting to classrooms on topics such as conflict resolution (bullying), anger management, and peerpressure. Elementary presntations work with grades 3-5 and contain information, practical skills, and hands-on activities. Each presentation is typically 40 minutes and preferably is administered to a class room of approximately 30 students. Highschool presentations follow similiar criteria but are generally 50 minutes long.
Special Event and Information Exchanges
The staff at Family Youth Interventions would be glad to setup a display at your event or meeting. A FYI Display will provide information about the program displayed on a panel board as well as flyers and promotional items for community members to take with them. This is a great way to connect with social service organizations in the area. Contact us to have a display setup.

A Letter to Schools
Dear School Administrator or Counselor:
Family Youth Intervention's Street Outreach Program/ Drop-In Center grant for Macomb County is responsible for reaching youth of Macomb County with the message that there is help available to them. The school setting is a great place for them to get this help.
This is what we do. We hang out in your lunch room with a display board telling about the program as well as some informational cards. If kids want to talk to us they can. We have hygiene kits, first aids kits, and safer sex kits available for kids, but do not pass these out at school unless the school requests this.
If you would like to meet with me to get more information on how the program and your school can work together you can email me, call me, or contact me to arrange a meeting.
