The Rapid Re-Housing program (RRH) is funded through The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). FYI’s RRH program is a scatted site apartment program, housing young adults ages 18-24. There are up to seven apartments available at a time, with three, two bedrooms apartments dedicated to housing young adults and with children, along with four, one bedroom apartments. RRH will pay up to the Fair Market rent, for those eligible. While involved in the program young adults will have access to many supportive services. RRH is a housing first program, this means we do our best to help young adults over come housing barriers (no income, criminal record, prior evictions etc.) and partner them with landlords to become housed and self-sufficient.
Eligibility is determinant for 18-24 year-old who meet the HUD definition of homelessness. This includes those who are: literally homeless (lacking fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residents), in immanent Risk (those who will lose their primary nighttime residents within 14 days), or fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence.
